Il Maschitano Rosso di Musto Carmelitano è un Aglianico del Vulture in purezza, il vitigno più rappresentativo della Basilicata. Viene prodotto con uve provenienti dai vigneti più giovani, coltivati in regime biologico. È un vino rosso davvero godibile e invitante, al naso è intenso con sfumature di frutta a bacca rossa, viola, lavanda, pepe nero e liquirizia. All’assaggio è pieno e minerale, dall’esuberanza giovanile.
Il rosso “Maschitano” di Musto Carmelitano è ottenuto da uve di Aglianico del Vulture in purezza, provenienti da vigne situate a circa 600 metri di altitudine che poggiano su terreni di matrice vulcanica. In vigna si seguono i dettami dell’agricoltura biologica, pertanto vengono bandite sostanze chimiche o di sintesi e si procede con vendemmia e cernita manuale dei grappoli. In cantina dopo la diraspapigiatura si procede con fermentazione alcolica spontanea in tini d’acciaio e affinamento di 14 mesi sempre in contenitori d’acciaio.
Alla vista si presenta di colore viola intenso con sfumature rubino.
Al naso si presenta ricco e potente con note di frutta rossa, mirtilli, lavanda, violetta e liquirizia.
Al palato è ricchissimo, strutturato e sapido, giustamente tannico ed esuberante fin da giovane.
